Light of Grief (“Light of Grief,” the “Non-Profit” “we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Website”) operates and maintains the
Website https://lightofgrief.com/., an online platform dedicated to providing compassionate support and resources for individuals experiencing loss, grief, or bereavement. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”), along with the Non-Profit's Terms of Use (https://lightofgrief.com/) governs your access to and use of the Website and the web-hosting services, donations, newsletters, and grief-support resources that we provide (collectively, the “Services”). You must first read and accept this AUP before accessing the Website and using its Services. By clicking accept below, you understand that you agree to adhere to and be bound by the AUP in all respects.
We ask all users to treat this space with respect, empathy, and sensitivity toward other people’s experiences of
loss.
The below prohibitions have been established by the Non-Profit to comply with applicable law, ensure reliable and enjoyable service for all of our users, maintain the Non-Profit's reputation as law-abiding, honorable, and customer-friendly, and preserve the privacy and security of each user's personal information at all times.
The Website and its Services may only be used for the purposes outlined in our AUP and in our Terms of Use.
You are prohibited from using the Website or its Services as follows:
Light of Grief may, but is not obligated to, monitor use of the Website and its Services to promote a safe and
supportive environment. We may remove or disable access to any material that violates this AUP, our Terms of
Service, our Privacy Policy, our any applicable third-party policy, and we may suspend or terminate access where appropriate. We maintain the right to monitor all such usage by any means we deem appropriate at any time in our sole discretion and delete any material we deem illegal or inappropriate. If the Non-Profit discovers a violation, it will take whatever action it deems reasonably necessary or appropriate to address such behavior.
The Non-Profit reserves the right to modify and update this AUP at any time in its sole discretion. The updated
version will be posted with a new effective date. Notification will be provided via email either through the account associated with the user's use of the Website or to the personal email address associated with the user's account. Except as otherwise provided by the Non-Profit, updates will be effective upon the date indicated at the top of this AUP. The updated version of the AUP will supersede all prior versions. Note that the Non-Profit's failure to enforce this policy in any instance and for whatever reason shall not be construed as a waiver of its right to do so at any other time.
Each user is responsible for any misuse of the account, even if the inappropriate activity was actually committed by someone other than the account holder (i.e., the family member or friend, for example).
